Silvia Kurniasih (as known as Phia) was born in December 12, 1980 in the simple city of Bandung, Indonesia. In 1997, she went to Toronto, Canada to continue her education. She earned a Bachelor of Design from York University and a diploma in Advertising and Computer Graphic. Upon graduation, she decided to move back to Bandung to be close with her family.

During the period of adjusting back in Indonesia, she felt dissatisfaction and in need of trying something fresh and new. The feeling led her to do something about her hobby of collecting women accessories that she started since she was a teenager. She began to experiment with different kind of materials and distinctive colors to create accessories, which includes necklaces, earrings, bracelets and rings.

The encouragement from family and friends at that time meant a lot for her. After a while, she took her chance to sell her creation in a well-known boutique in Bandung and the result is more than what she expected. She continues to create accessories ever since. In 2005, a name “Origo” is introduced.
